History: The mastiff breed comes in three different types; you have a the Bull Mastiff, Tibetan Mastiff and a Neapolitan Mastiff. This breed is a descendant from the ancient Alaunt and Pugnaces Britanniae with a significant input from the Alpine Mastiff in the 19th century. Mastiffs were known as Canes Pugnaces Britanniae or for short Pugnaces Britanniae; which means “combative (one) of Britannia”. Owning a mastiff can be easy at sometimes;however, there are some major things you have to do to insure it stays healthy and doesn't get sick. When I comes to sleeping, you have to give your mastiff a soft service to lay on or else it could develop calluses, arthritis and hygroma(acute inflammatory swelling). When a Mastiff has baby its best to put them in a box next to the mother because due to the mastiff side they could end up crushing their young with nursing. Other than the small issues if not having a soft surface to lay on they are very well healthy animals that don't have a lot of health issues.

History: The Rottweiler breed dates back all the way to the Roman Empire. It was likely to be a descendant of an ancient roman drover dog; a mastiff-type do that was dependable, rugged dog with great intelligence and guarding instincts. During the world wars, Rottweilers were put into service in various roles including messenger, ambulance, draught and guard dog. An uncommon fact about rottweilers is that they are the oldest herding breeds around. From 1914 to 1915, Germany had two different clubs about rottweilers; the clubs were called the Duetscher Rottweiler-Klub(DRK) and Suddeutscher Rottweiler-Klub(SDRK). Few months after the creations of the two clubs, they joined together to create IRK(International Rottweiler Club). After being a hard-working dog, they were officially a recognized breed in 1931. After becoming an official breed, in the mid 1990s Rottweilers reached an all time high for being the most wanted dog.

Even if you not big into exercise, if you have a child they are great with them. You never have to have to worry about an attack and plus all the playing is enough exercise for your “Rottie”. While owning a rottweiler and any other dog, you may experience the rottweiler having 8-12 more little Rottie's. Getting to experience a special moment like that is something to cherish. The downside to owning a rottweiler is that do have a lot of health issues associated with them; however, if you follow the veterinarian's recommended vaccine protocol your rottweiler will defeat the odds.
